    Description

The Purpose of this amendment is to post the responses to the Questions asked during the question Period. Install and Program NVRs Bedford VA Medical Center Solicitation No.: 36C24126Q0141 The Scope of Work Objective (page 4 of the solicitation) includes "providing and installing (2) NVRs. Are the new NVRs replacing existing?  Are the new NVRs to be rack mounted and is there available space in the existing equipment racks? Answers: a. The new NVR(s) are not replacing existing NVR(s). b. The new NVR(s) are to be rack mounted within existing OIT closets as seen during the site walk held 2/9/26. The Scope of Work concludes with Applicable Documents (page 11 of the solicitation) and notes (2) Excel documents as attached. I cannot find where these documents are attached or provided elsewhere. Please advise. Answer: These documents were incorrectly referenced and are not applicable to this effort for BLDG 4 and BLDG 78. First, do the two Network Video Recorders (NVRs) need to communicate with one another in any way (e.g., shared viewing access, user management, or system integration), or are they intended to operate as fully independent systems? Answer: NVR(s) for this effort are intended to be stand alone devices. There is a larger effort to standardized and consolidate police security camera system but for this effort the NVR(s) act as independent systems for each respective set of cameras. Second, can you please confirm whether VA IT will be responsible for all network and cybersecurity-related configurations including firewall rules, VLAN setup, IP addressing, and MAC address approvals with our scope limited to providing the required MAC addresses and completing installation, configuration, and programming of the equipment? Answer: There is a parallel effort ongoing to align with VA OIT security requirements that would allow for these specific NVR(s) to be allowed to exist and operate on the VA network. This is an ongoing effort that is separate from this project. Lastly, the scope references a one-year warranty on work performed. Please confirm whether this warranty is limited strictly to workmanship, or if it also includes any expectations for ongoing support or maintenance during that period, or if all operational support will be handled internally by the VA. Answer: Follow on maintenance contract type work is not intended to be part of this project. The warranty period should cover workmanship as well as equipment warranty. The scope referenced model of NVR IP08-12T-2AW-E has been reported to have been discontinued and replaced with IP01-12T-2AW-E where the number after IP represents number of camera licenses included with purchase of NVR. Will the VA accept the IP01 product. Answer: Yes, however, all licensing associated with bringing the 13 cameras online shall be included as part of this scope of work.
