JUSTIFICATION & APPROVAL: INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (MACC), 100% TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE, FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION, RENOVATION, AND REPAIR OF GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS

NAVFAC Southwest issued a Firm Fixed Price contract under the authority of Federal Acqusition Regulations (FAR) 16.505(b)(2)(i)(A), construction is so urgent that providing a fair opportunity will result in unacceptable delays. Award was to Teehee Engineering, Inc. The Period of Performance is for 90 calendar days.

As indicated by the attached and approved Justification for an Exceoption to Fair Opportunity, the Government has identified that Teehee is capable of performing this emergency to protect the structural stability of the building ensuring no further damage to the building takes place, and the life and safety of Government personnel and users of the Government building for their everday work, and who work around the damaged building. The contractor is familiar with current Government procedures and is currently performing other work on the base. Construction services to be provided are to stabilize Building 152 due to a bowstring truss failure, and provide a structural assessment of the whole building due to an earthquake.
