LPV-06F.2.1 ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD SWING GATE LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN AND VICINITY

THIS NOTICE IS FOR SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BID. The tracking number for this announcement is W912P8-26-SS-0001. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to obtain insight into the interest, capabilities, and qualifications of firms; as well as assist the Government in preparing market research and establishing an acquisition strategy in support of this effort.

This project would have a magnitude of construction between $500,000 and $1,000,000 with the following SCOPE OF WORK:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District seeks qualified Construction firms interested and capable of providing construction services for Lake Pontchartrain and Vicinity Illinois Central Railroad Swing Gate, LPV-06f.2.1. The work consists of installing temporary pipeline protection over existing gas line for crane access, removing and storing existing swing gate on-site. Perform selective hydro-demolition of the existing swing gate column. Install temporary mock-up of existing swing gate upper hinge assembly to evaluate and mitigate conflicts with existing column reinforcement. Fabricate and install permanent swing gate upper hinge assembly. Set new column reinforcement and pour concrete. Re-install existing swing gate. Flush existing hydraulic power unit and re-install hydraulic motor. Field test closure of swing gate. 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE:
Responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE / MARKET RESEARCH STUDY shall include the following information:
 

1. Interested firm's name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address and Small Business size status under NAICS Code 237990.  If identifying as a small business, please include any further designations (Small Disadvantaged Business, Hubzone, etc.)
 

2. A brief capabilities statement describing the interested firm's ability to meet the anticipated Scope of Work as described above.
 

Submission of your interest is not a prerequisite to any potential future posting, but participation will assist in identifying sources with required capabilities.  Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation. Statements that do not meet all requirements or are not submitted within the allotted time will not be considered.
 

NOTE: Contractors must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management) to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Registration requires applicants to have a UEI number. Recommend registering immediately to be eligible for this potential procurement.
