This notice is open for responses from both small and other than small businesses, and responses will be utilized to determine if this requirement, or a portion of this requirement, can be set- aside for small businesses in accordance with (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.5, Small Business Total Set-Asides, Partial Set-Asides, and Reserves. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any cost incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to rank submittals or provide any reply to interested companies and responses will not be returned.
The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Huntsville Engineering and Support Center (CEHNC) in Huntsville, Alabama anticipates awarding approximately 3-separate Medical Repair and Renewal (MRR), Design-Build Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCS) (see Table 1 – List of MATOCS). The 3-MATOCS are replacement contracts for continued support for the MRR program. Individual, competitive, best value firm fixed price (FFP) task orders will be issued against the awarded MATOCS. Offerors may be awarded a contract under one or multiple MATOCs.
The purpose of this acquisition is to provide quick response for performing major repair and minor construction relating, but not limited, to the architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, security and safety areas of Government medical facilities in a cost-effective manner. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The overall estimated value of this effort is $4,008,000,000.00 including all options and extensions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract, and FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. There is a reasonable likelihood that the options will be exercised to provide continuity of services and to avoid the potential disruption of effort.
