MEGADOOR PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES (INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE)

     The Hawaii National Guard intends to issue a sole source firm-fixed priced contract to ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems USA, 350 Dividend Drive, Peachtree City, GA 30269. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code 3204(a)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2). Therefore, a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation from a single source, will be issued to ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems USA for full preventive maintenance and inspection of both Megadoor systems.  Replace drive belts on both Megadoor systems, replace worn guide blocks as needed.  Patch damaged side fabric - approximately 200ft of tan fabric and 60 ft of white fabric.  Replace up to (50) guide buttons and damaged ends of batten strips.  Replace up to 10 light bulbs for the east main panel.  Replace missing bottom rubber floor seal screws and batten strip screws as needed.  Replace PLC battery on East door system, reboot system.

     ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems USA is the only certified Megadoor facility located in Peachtree City, GA who is certified specifically to perform maintenance, repairs, or modifications to Megadoor Systems.

     The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332321, Metal Window and Door Manufacturing, with a size standard in number of employees 750.  Please note that this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government.  Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit complete information in writing describing their ability to provide the product/services no later than 11:00 AM Hawaii Standard Time, Monday, August 25, 2025.  Interest/capability statements may be sent to Warren Sabugo at warren.m.sabugo.civ@army.mil .  No telephone responses will be accepted.  A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

     This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.  Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's capability to perform the work.
