The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to utilize other than full-and-open competition to award a delivery order under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) (see posting N00024-23-G-5305) to BAE Systems Land and Armaments L.P. (BAE) located in Maple Grove, MN. This Order includes the procurement of: 2J Spares Overhaul/Upgrade and New Manufacture in support of the MK45 Mod 4 Gun Mount.
This BOA order will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. BAE is the only known source possessing the requisite knowledge and ability to satisfy the Government’s MK45 requirements within the required schedule.
Parties interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact the prime contractor (BAE) directly. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible sources may submit a capability statement no later than the closing time of this notice. Any submissions will not be reimbursed by the Government – the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government not to solicit from more than one source is solely within the discretion of the Government.
