This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE of a proposed requirement to award installation services for one (1) spot welder and one (1) compressor at a Pittsburgh, PA VA facility. The contractor shall provide the following: 1. Spot Welder Installation Provide one means of disconnect for each of the two breaker sizes at welder location. Run a 2 conduit from panel to the spot welder location. Run circuit through newly installed conduit. Terminate wiring at the panel, disconnect and at the piece of equipment. Provide a new 225A/3P breaker in panel. Provide a new 15A/3P breaker in panel. 2. Compressor Installation a. Removal of existing compressor circuit b. Relocation of existing 3 pole disconnect. c. Relocation of three 20A/1P circuit breakers to accommodate new breaker. d. Furnish and install a new 60A 3PH breaker for compressor in existing panel. e. Pull (3) three #6 THHN conductors and (1) one #10 THHN conductors through existing conduit to newly located disconnect for new compressor. f. New liquid tight whip and conductors to new compressor if necessary. g. All final feeder terminations in disconnect, existing service panel, and compressor. Additionally, the contractor must be able to meet the landlord s insurance requirements. The following work will be done by VA personnel, and the contractor will not be responsible for: Spot Welder Installation Controls, control wiring, and associated connections. Moving customers stored materials within the path of work. Setting, moving, and mounting of spot welder. Inspections and permits if needed. Painting and patching of a wall. Compressor Installation Setting, moving, and mounting of compressor. All necessary control circuitry. Inspections and permits if needed. Painting and final patching of wall. Shipping FOB Destination and everything included in the overall installation price. The Veteran s Health Administration Service Area Office - East estimates a posting date of solicitation 36C24E25Q0060 on 8/11/2025 and distributed solely through the System for Award Management (SAM). This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) and should not be construed to as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any costs incurred by interested parties will NOT be reimbursed. It is the responsibility of any interested party to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this notice.
