    🛠️ Technical Objectives & System Characteristics

    PMS390 seeks innovative solutions to replace the current submarine rescue capability within five (5) years of a design development contract award.

    Key Capabilities Required:

    • Materiel Solution: Multiple, commercially classified, small, and highly transportable rescue vehicles.
    • Decompression Capabilities: Built directly into the design of the rescue vehicles, alongside executing Disabled Submarine (DISSUB) survivor rescues.
    • Performance Goals: High operational availability, rapid transportability, highly sustainable configuration, fast "time to first rescue," and reduced overall life-cycle Program costs.
    • Certification: Final solution must be commercially certified by an International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) member.
    • Flexibility: PMS390 is open to all contracting, ownership, operation, maintenance, and supportability strategies.
