The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction. The small business size standard is $45M. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. SCOPE OF CONTRACT This project aims to provide potable water to the nursery located at the Salmon River Seed Orchard. The Forest Service plans to drill a well to provide potable water to the nursery. The well will be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications provided by the Forest. If the first well drilled does not meet specifications, then, additional alternative 1 (Option 1) will be utilized to decommission the first well drilled and then drill a second well. PROJECT LOCATION This project is in the Salmon River Seed Orchard contained within the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. The project is located in Section 23, Township 26N, Range 1E. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Between $100,000 and $250,000. SITE VISIT No official Site Visit shall be performed. Contractors are highly encouraged to visit the Salmon River Seed Orchard to familiarize themselves with the layout of the site. Contractor is encouraged and expected to visit the site. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE Work on the site shall commence no earlier than June 01, 2026, and proceed in accordance with the contractors approved work schedule and run continuously till the end of the project no later than May 31, 2027. Bid Bond/Offer Guarantee (FAR 52.228-1) 20% required if quote/offer in excess of $150,000. Performance & Payment Bonds (FAR 52.228-15) Both required at 100% of original contract price if value in excess of $150,000, due 10 days after award. Only payment protections are required for contracts exceeding $35,000 but not exceeding $150,000, irrevocable letter of credit or payment bond allowed per FAR 52.228-13, due within 10 days of contract award.
