NOTICE OF INTENT ADDITIONAL SHORELINE STABILIZATION AND ROAD/SHORELINE REPAIRS AT PITUFFIK SPACE BASE, GREENLAND

Notice of Intent additional shoreline stabilization and road/shoreline repairs at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland

The New York District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a sole source modification  to Per Aarsleff Grønland ApS for additional shoreline stabilization and road/shoreline repairs at Pituffik Space Base, Greenland, under the existing Shoreline Stabilization/Landfill Capping contract W912DS24C0033.

This is not a formal solicitation or request for proposal. This notice of intent is to give notice of the Government's intent to make a sole source award under the authority cited in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

The general requirement is for the contractor to design and repair the area of causeway/shoreline with new gravel cover layers (Riprap) on the south side of the causeway, approximately 500 linear feet. This includes adding new cover layers to existing sloped berms and causeway, repairing rock jetty roads with new top layers, and repairing the sloped rock armored breakwater with geotextile layers, underlayer of filter rock, median stone mass M50 = 25-50 kg, and a cover layer of armor rock, median stone mass 2500 kg. The work also includes repairing settled foundations and bracing supports for the electrical and NSC cable trays, and performing repairs to support structures as needed.

Any vendor wishing to propose an alternative source must provide a copy of all relevant data  demonstrating the alternative source satisfies the above requirements, by the required due date and time, to Mohenda Surage at: Mohenda.r.surage@usace.army.mil

Magnitude of Construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00.
