Description: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Detroit District, anticipates publicizing a solicitation for a construction contract for the 9-Mile Pump Station located in St. Clair Shores, MI. As part of this procurement, USACE Detroit District intends to only specify a portion of the acquisition for the brand-name requirement on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(c)(1) for the Allen-Bradley PLC to the Manufacturer, Rockwell Automation. The Allen-Bradley PLCs are integral components of industrial automation systems, providing control and logic processing for various applications. They are known for their reliability, performance, and versatility, making them suitable for a wide range of industries and processes. PLCs are used in manufacturing, process industries, building automation, power generation and distribution, water and wastewater treatment, mining and metals, and more. They are designed to manage complex processes, regulate parameters, and ensure safety and efficiency in industrial operations. Rockwell Automation is the only manufacturer of the Allen-Bradley PLC parts. The PLCs are to be purchased and installed by the contractor or the subcontractors. This NOI is being issued to provide notification of the Government?s intent to sole source the brand name portion of the requirement and obtain industry feedback through the RFI process. This is not a request for a competitive proposal. This is not a solicitation, and the information contained herein is subject to change or be eliminated from the requirement. Only firms capable of providing a compatible equivalent product is requested to respond by email. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
