The Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), VISN 02, Bronx and Northport VA Medical Centers require an extension to ensure the continuity of essential infectious disease testing supply services impacting patient care.
The aforementioned contractor is currently performing under Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) 36C24224A0027 with the period of performance concluding on September 30, 2025. The anticipated period of performance for the extension is six (6) months, from October 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026.
This extension will provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) with additional time to adequately survey the current market; determining vendor capabilities and the potential for competition. This requirement has been submitted to be procured under FAR Part 8 procedures; an award action is anticipated to be awarded in December 2026.
This notice is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. All capability statements must be received by no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (Est) on September 3, 2025. Responses to be submitted to Lindsay Goldsmith, Contracting Officer at lindsay.goldsmith@va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
