Procuring through a third-party integrator poses unacceptable risks to the program's cost, schedule, and mission. By utilizing the only proven Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the 747-8i FFS, the Government mitigates the risk of significant schedule delays, increased lifecycle costs, and critical gaps in mission-essential training. In accordance with RFO 6.305, the Justification and Approval (J&A) document supporting this sole-source action will be published to SAM.gov within 14 days after contract award.
