NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - ANSYS SOFTWARE RENEWAL

AFTC/PZIA (Arnold) at Arnold Air Force Base (AFB), TN, 37389 tends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract as authorized by FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(b) to Ansys, Inc., as they are the only company on DoD GSA Schedule authorized to resell Ansy, Inc., supplies and services.  The requirement is for ANSYS Discovery Simulation and ANSYS Mechanical software licenses which help train Government employees at White Oak Tunnel 9's functionality, including development of standard analysis that specify the exact setting to achieve the desired analysis results.

The Government intends to move into negotiations if there are no favorable responses.  Thus, the estimated total dollar value is not available.  The intended award will utilize 541519 - Other Computer Related Services and PSC 7A21.  Ansys, Inc., (CAGE:  0U014) is a large business.  Thus, this intended award will not be set-aside for small businesses.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all responses received electronically by 10 a.m. CST, 16 December 2025.  A determination by Government to not compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government.  The information received may only be considered to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  All questions and comments should be addressed to Ms. Leslie McGowan, Contracting Officer, leslie.mcgowan@us.af.mil.  If no favorable responses are received by the date mentioned above, a contract will be negotiated with the above-named source.
