NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Medical Readiness Contract Office-W, Fort Carson Health Contracting Branch (CarHCB ) Army Health Contracting Activity, MEDCOM, Fort Bliss, Texas 79902, intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Hologic Sales and Service, LLC under authority of Title 41 U.S.C. §1901(e)(2) as implemented in FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items for only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.  This is for the maintenance and services of the Hologic® 3D Mammography™ System located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, (WBAMC) Fort Bliss, Texas 79906.  Award will be on or about 29 August 2025.  The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 325413, “In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing”. The Small Business Size Standard is 1250 Employees. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.  This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for maintenance and services of the Hologic® 3D Mammography™ System located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, (WBAMC) Fort Bliss, Texas with an estimated period of performance being base 01 October 2025 through 30 September 2026 with three (3) option years. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. The Medical Readiness Contract Office-W, Fort Carson Health Contracting Branch (CarHCB) intends to make a sole source award to Hologic Sales and Service, LLC, 250 Campus Drive, Marlborough, Massachusetts, 01752-3020.
