This notice is for informational purposes only. The MICRTC intends to award a single source contract to SAFE Boats International LLC for Inspection, maintenance, and Sea Trial services for (3) Mark VI boats under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a), due to patented material contained within the vessels themselves. This requirement is for services to test and ensure seaworthiness prior to movement from Norfolk, Va to Alpena, Michigan. No other source has the ability to supply the material necessary to prepare the boats for the voyage. This notice is not a request for offers and a competitive solicitation will not be issued. A Request for Quote will be issued to SAFE Boats International LLC, with an anticipated award date on or about May 30th. This is not a request for capability statements, but the Government will consider all information submitted in response to this notice. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with award to a single source.
