The Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) Manufacturing Technology Program (ManTech) invites companies with new manufacturing processes and emerging technologies to submit Concept White Paper(s) and Quad Chart(s) with potential for integration into the Department of Defense’s (DoD) industrial base. OUSD(R&E)’s goal is to foster increased collaboration and partnership between Government and Industry to identify, develop, and mature new or improved manufacturing and repair processes and bridge the gap between discovery and implementation of new capabilities for the warfighter.
Periodic calls for submissions will be issued under this announcement as Capability Focus Areas (CFA). Submissions will be reviewed by the Government for relevance and merit in addressing the CFA.
Responses can be submitted in response to the BOTA and/or the periodic CFAs. Responses to the BOTA will be accepted until the closing date of the BOTA. Responses to CFAs will be due forty-five days after issuance to sam.gov. There is no limit to the number of submissions; however, those desiring to submit under multiple technical areas must submit separate white papers and/or presentations.

The BOTA will remain open for 3 years and any non-funded IEA resulting from it will expire 2 years from the date of execution, unless otherwise agreed to by the parties.
