Automatic Door Repairs - Edwards AFB, CA and Palmdale, CA
 

The Air Force Test Center (AFTC) is publicizing this Sources Sought Notice to gather industry information regarding Automatic Door Repair Services at Edwards AFB and the Air Force Research Laboratory.

The Government is seeking to identify qualified, experienced, and interested firms, who can perform Automatic Door Repair Services in accordance with the "Draft" Statement of Work (SOW) dated 20 May 2025.

The Contractor shall install all new replacement parts in strict accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and industry best practices. This includes, but is not limited to, proper alignment, secure fastening, and correct wiring (if applicable). The Contractor is responsible for ensuring that the installation process is performed safely and efficiently, minimizing disruption to building occupants and operations.

It is anticipated that the Automatic Door Repair Services will be a one time purchase order, (Firm Fixed-Price) type contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this effort is 238290 - Other Building Equipment Contractors (Automated and revolving door installation). The Product Service Code (PSC) for this effort is Z1QA.

Capability Statements shall be limited to no more than five pages and shall clearly state the following: Capability in automatic door repair services on a similar scope and scale as Edwards AFB. Offerors who cannot provide historical information for their company regarding automatic door services of similar scope/scale should provide corresponding information to show how your company would meet the requirements of the PWS. This information should provide a strong level of confidence to the Government that an offeror would meet or exceed the performance requirements outlined in the PWS.

In addition, provide/answer the following:

(1) Company name, address, point(s) of contact, title, telephone number, fax number, email address, Cage Code and SAM UEI number;

(2) Company's business size, to include number of employees;

(3) Company's socioeconomic status to include, but not limited to: 8(a), SDB, and WOSB, SDVOSB.

THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for quote (RFQ); submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Any future solicitation will be made available only on https://sam.gov/ Contract Opportunities.Therefore, interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the website for the release of a solicitation package and/or any updates to include amendments.

Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged at this time, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.

Submission Instructions: Information received will be used within the Air Force to facilitate acquisition strategy decision making and to solidify Market Research and will not be disclosed outside the agency.
