The purpose of this synopsis is to alert the public that the Maritime Administration (MARAD), which is an agency of the United States Department of Transportation, intends to procure layberthing services for an exclusive use long-term safe layberth for one Ro/Ro vessels. The geographic area of consideration for this solicitation is in the vicinity of Philadelphia, PA. Potential layberth locations are inclusive of navigable waterways that can support the safe berthing and navigation of the size vessel identified. The primary bid for the solicitation will be one base year and 4 option years with an alternative bid for a base year and nine option years.
