AFMES Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) Identification Laboratory (AFDIL) is requiring the purchase of a base plus four (4) option years for licensing, maintenance, and support contract to maintain the functionality of the Parabon FX software due to the initial warranty licensing, maintenance and support expiring.
The Parabon FGX software was previously developed by Parabon NanoLabs Inc in fulfillment of OSD-AT&L Defense Forensic Enterprise award to meet the following DoD requirement. Parabon was to develop an agnostic data analysis software suite that was CAC enabled, met as many of the government defined STIGS and DISA requirements, could analyze NGS data from any commercial instrument, would have Chain of Custody function, and could analyze Short Tandem Repeat Data. Additionally, Parabon was awarded a second OSD-AT&L Defense Forensic Enterprise funded project to develop a nuclear single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) assay and a SNP analysis module that plugged into the Parabon FX analysis suite. As part of the development agreement, a full version of the Parabon FX software and 2-year maintenance was transferred to AFMES.

This Special Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
