    SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for On-site Survey Readiness Services (Mock Physical Environment/Life Safety Survey) located at the eight (8) VHA facilities below: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Chicago, IL. Iliana Health Care System, Danville, IL. Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, North Chicago, IL. Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, IL. Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI. William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, WI. Tomah VA Medical Center, Tomah, WI. Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541611 Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Background: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Facilities have been accredited for over 35 years. The accreditation process is a complex system of interrelated activities that ensures the VA maintains a constant state of regulatory readiness and a safe healthcare environment. These services will support the VA facilities listed above in establishing a continuous readiness program to achieve and maintain compliance with Joint Commission (JC) standards. This includes compliance with the JC Program, Physical Environment (PE), Life Safety (LS), and Emergency Management (EM) standards. The process encompasses pre-survey, survey, and post-survey activities, including effective communication. Requirements: The objective of this requirement is to provide Survey Readiness services for the eight (8) VHA facilities listed above focused specifically on areas pertaining to the PE and LS sections of JC Accreditation Manual as well as the National Patient Safety Goals and all current Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and categorical waivers to certain requirements between VHA and the JC pertaining to PE and LS accreditation requirements. Standards interpretation services will be provided as necessary, including education and review of all applicable MOUs. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, website address, if applicable, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort and documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The Government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES, SOLE SOURCED OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
