This is a notice that a solicitation is anticipated to be forth coming and will have all the necessary documents, including a scope of work. IAW FAR 36.204(f), the magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Performance and Payment Bonds are required. The scope of the project is to grade and pave Beck Avenue from the east side of the Sylvan Drive intersection to the east entrance of building 212. Construction shall also include removing and installing new storm and sanitary sewer from the south side of building 212 to building 295. The Contractor shall provide construction services for the project. The premise for this project is to remove the existing pavement, regrade Beck Avenue, remove all storm and sanitary sewer. Install new storm and sanitary sewer and place new pavement. Beck Avenue along with existing parking lots and parking lot entrances shall be 9-inch Portland Cement Concrete (P.C.C.) with reinforcement at the joints with a standard 6-inch curb and gutter at 30-inch width, placed on a 12-inch modified subbase. The parking lot pavement of lot 2G shall be 2-3” lifts of hot mix asphalt (HMA). Subdrain tile shall be installed along the Beck Avenue gutter line and tied into new storm intakes. All green space areas disturbed during construction shall receive 6” of topsoil and hydro seed, fertilizer and mulch. The project shall be constructed using the Iowa State Urban Design and Specifications Program (SUDAS) 2024.
