Demolition and dispose of existing transformers, exteriorenclosures, concrete and wooden poles, and lighting include all conduits, conductors, and controls. New transformers will be equipped with new secondary main distribution panels that will include lighting control panels in transformer enclosure. The new outdoor transformer units will sit on new concrete pads with additional handholes. All existing transformers are contaminated with Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) therefore abatement and disposal of toxic materials must comply with all Government of Japan and Federal rules and regulations. Provide all work and appurtenances for a complete and usable facility. Laydown areas to be determined. This project will comply with applicable DoD, Air Force and base design standards. Sustainable principles, to include life cycle cost-effective practices, will be integrated into the design, development, and construction of the project in accordance with UFC 1-200-02.
