This service is required at the following locations: Manhattan Campus 423 E 23rd Street New York, NY 10010 Brooklyn Campus 800 Poly Place Brooklyn, NY 11209 St. Albans Community Living Center 179-00 Linden Blvd Jamaica, NY 11425 Justification for Sole Source: Due to the urgent nature of the pest management needs at New York Harbor VA Healthcare System, CDS Services Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing the necessary services in the required time frame for several critical reasons: Previous Experience and Knowledge of VA Facilities: CDS Services Inc. has an extensive history of servicing the specific VA facilities in question. They possess an in-depth understanding of the layout, pest control history, and specific vulnerabilities of these locations. This familiarity allows them to develop and implement an effective pest management plan without the need for extensive initial assessments or delays in execution. Availability and Capacity to Meet Urgent Requirements: CDS Services Inc. has the necessary resources, including trained personnel, equipment, and materials, readily available to address the pest crisis immediately. Other vendors would require additional time to acquire and deploy similar resources, thereby posing unacceptable risks to the VA facilities operations and patient care. Risk Mitigation: Engaging any vendor other than CDS Services Inc. introduces significant risks, including potential delays in service initiation, ineffective pest control measures, and non-compliance with regulatory standards. Such risks could lead to further health and safety issues, including potential closure of affected facility areas, negatively impacting patient care and operational efficiency. Duration of Contract: The anticipated period of performance is 10/1/2025 through 1/31/2026.
