SEAM STRIPPER MODEL 700A

The USDA, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to OneVision Corp at 5805 A Chandler Court Westerville, Ohio 43082. FSIS seeks to establish a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to procure a new seam stripper Model 700A and installation. OneVision will supply and install a seam stripper at FSIS Western Laboratory located in Albany, CA. OneVision will provide all necessary hardware, software, project management, engineering, installation, point-to-point, startup/checkout, training, and warranty for a complete, turnkey system. These services, training and product repair/support can only be provided through OneVision - for the USDA Albany facility.  FSIS Laboratory requires specific equipment that will perform seam removal on containers of various sizes. As a regulatory agency we are expected to evaluate any abnormal container that is sent to us for analysis and must have the equipment to perform a tear down on any sized can. Similar products do not meet our criteria for safety and regulatory practices. OneVision Corporation is the only product that satisfies this requirement and meets agency needs. Our Microbiologists are trained to use the other products from OneVision Corporation and this seam stripper is tied to existing equipment and software for data reporting.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can meet all the requirements. All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication will be considered by the Government if received by the posting deadline of this notification. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
