United States Department  of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service Procurement and Property Services Special Projects Operation Center Northwest Branch is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify small businesses as having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for: Two (2) Seed Germinators: The seed germinators must have climate controls including temperature, light and humidity within necessary parameters for optimal seed germination. The germinators must run on 120 Volts. Below are the minimum specifications for the two seed germinators: Voltage - 120V, 60 Hz Temperature - Range: 0. to 38. (32. to 100.) - Control: 0.1. - Programmability: Ramp and Soak Volume - Interior: 25 to 29 ft3 - Shelf size: 4.5 to 5.5 ft2 - # shelves: 15 to 20 Construction - Body: Stainless steel - Shelving: Stainless steel Lighting - 6 to 8 lights mounted inside Humidity - No The exterior dimensions for the germinator of interest: Width 66" Depth 33.6" Height 77.2" The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing and the Classification Code assigned is F013 Natural Resources/Conservation- Tree Breeding THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME.
