    The Embassy of the United States in Guatemala will issue a solicitation for the services of a general contractor to provide construction services on selected site upgrades at the Embassy compound in zone 16. The contractor firm shall provide qualified professionals, equipment, materials, tools, and supervision as needed to complete the project. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Guatemala will launch the solicitation on www.SAM.gov, website when it is available. The anticipated performance period is 90 days. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price type contract. The Government is planning a pre-proposal site visit and the date for this site visit will be in the solicitation. Pursuant to FAR 4.1102(a) Offerors are required to be registered in SAM at the time an offer is submitted in order to comply with the annual representations and certifications requirements. Failure to be registered at time of proposal submission shall deem the offeror’s proposal to be considered non-responsive to the solicitation requirements and no further consideration will be given. Therefore, you are encouraged to complete the registration process and have an active account in sam.gov prior to proposal submission. This opportunity is subject to 52.229-12 - Tax on Certain Foreign Procurements (FEB 2021) Electronic Submission/Responses: This opportunity allows for electronic responses.
