Bureau of Indian (BIE) is utilizing this tool as part of market research. Your responses will assist BIE in the development of its possible RFQ and in determining the type of socio-economic set-aside available.

The Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Education (BIE), Division of Acquisitions is issuing a SOURCE SOUGHT announcement to seek vendors who possess the capabilities to provide Food Delivery and Courier Services for Havasupai Elementary School (HES), located in Supai, Arizona.

Havasupai Elementary School (HES) is a K-8 school located in Supai, Arizona, at the bottom of the Grand Canyon on the Havasupai Tribe's reservation. Due to its remote location, all goods and services shall travel an 8-mile journey into the canyon accessible only by foot, horseback, mule, or helicopter.

A cornerstone of HES's operations is its school meal program, which is essential for student health & development, and to establish a dependable mail delivery courier service.

Vendor shall communicate and provide detailed coordination of a complex operation involving (refrigerated and non-refrigerated) food and mail & package deliveries into the Havasupai Canyon. Coordination and communication with the other contractor/vendors, helicopter sling operator and designated HES personnel while maintaining the safety standards of food and safe & secure packages.

No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary.

To address these challenges and ensure uninterrupted service, interested parties are requested to provide the following in response to the source sought.

Note: All Businesses MUST have active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database.

The purpose of this market research is to survey prospective vendors in order to collect data, comments, and other information pertaining to this industry. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code is 492110 and the small business size standard 1500 Employees. Scope of work is attached.
