The Federal Emergency Management Agency, (FEMA) Region 10, has an immediate and urgent need for language interpreters who fluently speak Yup’ik and English to assist with disaster survivors who are applying for disaster assistance primarily in Anchorage and Bethel Alaska and other possible locations affected by Typhoon Halong, Presedentially Declared Disaster 4893-AK. The interpretation services will be performed in person and over the phone.
This is a DISASTER AREA SET ASIDE. Preference will be given to those businesses registered in the System for Award Management who primarily reside in the Alaska Boroughs of:
-Northwest Arctic Borough
-Lower Yukon Regional Education Attendance Area (REAA)
-Lower Kuskokwim REAA
If no eligible businesses are found within the declared disaster area of DR-4893-AK, preference will be extended to businesses within the State of Alaska.
