    Description

    DTRA intends to procure two (2) AirGard Chemical Detection System(s); along with the sustainment/maintenance services from authorized resellers of the Original Equipment Manufacturer. 

    The acquisition of the AirGard Chemical Detection System encompasses the procurement, integration, sustainment, and potential upgrades of a fixed-site chemical vapor detection capability. This system is desigend to provide real-time monitoring for the presence of chemical warfare agensts (CWAs) and toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) in critical infrastructure and high-risk facilities, such as the Chemical Processing Facility (CPF).

    This Synopsis is issued in accordance with FAR 5.207 while solicitation documents are processing for their approved release. This contract will have one base year, with four one-year options to follow, for a total potential contract length of five years. The contract will be awarded using Other than Full and Open Competition procedures, with a Justification to be posted following contract award, which is anticipated by September 5, 2025. The only offerors eligible for this award are authorized resellers of MKS Instruments' AirGard Chemical Detection System, Leidos, Inc. and KD Analytical (Noble). The solicitation for this action will be posted on the PIEE Solicitation Module, for response by the authorized resellers.
