    THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE - THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT'S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO THE SLATE GROUP, LLC.

    The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD), on behalf of the History and Library Directorate (HLD) intends to award a sole source contract to The Slate Group, LLC 655 15th Street NW Ste. 300, Washington DC 20005-5717, (Unique Entity ID: HFE2GT5HXLX3, CAGE Code: 7SGE1) for Foreign Policy Subscription services. The period of performance is for a one (1) twelve-month base period and four (4) twelve-month option periods. The Pentagon library requires online access to Foreign Policy (FP) articles and research available through the website, foreignpolicy.com to support research needs of the Pentagon Reservation. The estimated value of the contract will range from $100,000.00 to $115,000.00.

    The anticipated award will be made under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 under the procedures FAR 13.5 “Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services.” The foreign policy subscriptions are considered commercial products as defined in FAR 2.101, and the procurement will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures under FAR 13.5. History and Library Directorate requires the publication's unique insights and analysis for their DoD partners to access the information to contribute to the department’s ability to anticipate global challenges, respond to emerging threats, and develop effective strategies. The subscription to Foreign Policy is proprietary and exclusively available through its publisher, Slate Group, LLC. Foreign Policy is a globally recognized publication that offers unparalleled coverage of international relations, diplomacy, and foreign policy analysis. Its content is curated by leading experts, journalists, and scholars in the field, making it a unique and highly specialized resource. No other publication provides the same breadth, depth, or quality of information tailored to the needs of policymakers and analysts.

    This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
