    Description

    1.1 BACKGROUND
    1.1.1 C5I Training Detachment in Portsmouth, Va utilizes two training simulators that provide simulation of WLM / WLB Machinery Plant for the Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring Sytem (MPCMS), and navigation simulation for Coast Guard Electronic Chart Display and Information System (CGECDIS) and Dynamic Positioning System (DPS). The Simulators were upgraded in November of 2023. The upgrade consisted of software and hardware specifically designed to meet the needs of the training labs.
    1.2 SCOPE
    1.2.1 The contractor shall provide simulator warranty that extends past the one-year warranty provided from the simulator manufacturer. The warranty should include unlimited remote support, simulation software bug fixes, warranty of hardware components, documentation corrections, emergency repair visits, and a spare parts package consisting of both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment and trainer unique equipment.
    1.3 OBJECTIVE
    1.3.1 Support of a complex training simulator that will result in minimal down time of the training labs. Allowing that Training Detachment to utilized the fully operational trainers to provide quality training to members.
