TROUBLESHOOT AND REPAIR INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (ICS)

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Department, Portsmouth, VA 23709, intends to award a firm fixed price contract to procure services to troubleshoot and repair the INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (ICS) on a 688 class moored training ship (MTS) utilizing the policies and procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing, with a size standard of 1300 employees. The PSC code is J059.

The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit as sole source to L3 Technologies, Inc.. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals or quotations received by the closing response date may be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with the proposed contract based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
