    Description

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District (NAB) will solicit for and award a service contract for truck scale maintenance, calibration and repair at the Washington Aqueduct Division in Washington, DC. The project will be an 100% Small Business Set-Aside competitive, firm-fixed-price, contract. The Washington Aqueduct (WA), a division of the Baltimore District, United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), treats water drawn from the Potomac River to produce drinking water for Washington, DC, and portions of Northern Virginia. The Washington Aqueduct is unique in the Department of Defense, and possibly the Nation, in that the Federal government owns and operates a public utility. The Washington Aqueduct has the responsibility to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective drinking water to one million retail customers, through its three wholesale customers, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Washington Aqueduct is the sole source of potable water supply to most of these one million customers.The general scope of the contract is to provide calibration, maintenance, and repair services to the three (3) truck scales at the Residuals Processing Facility in accordance with the contract documents and manufacturer's recommendations. The Contractor shall perform all related activities and services required, including cleaning, inspection, test reports, procurement of material and supplies, repair, quality control, calibration, adjustment, software update, hardware upgrade, maintenance of accurate and complete records and documents. The solicitation will be available here on Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (piee.eb.mil) and SAM.gov on or about April 8, 2024.
