Statement of Work: CGC Stratton – Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Service Visit
Background: MDE are showing reduction in performance and reliability after exceeding major overhaul intervals. NR2 MDE has multiple cylinders with low compression, and MDE have exhaust temperatures outside allowable parameters. MDE have experienced fuel leaks, pump failures, sensor and controls issues, and other alarms consistent with equipment exceeding maintenance intervals.
Objective is to monitor Coast Guard staff, advise and validate all corrective maintenance on both main diesel engines ensuring compliance with OEM and safety standards, documenting completion and deficiencies, and reporting issues to the Government TPOC for the duration of the period of performance or until all repairs achieve 100 % operational completion, whichever occurs first, not to exceed quoted cost to include all labor hours and travel.
