USEM BULK STORAGE SERVICE

The company will provide bulk storage space with delivery and pick-up service of property belonging to Embassy Male as post has no established office or place warehouse to place items.

The Embassy will inventory all items that will be stored with the company in their provided temp and security-controlled space. RYZZ Pvt Ltd will then store the items in an organized manner that allows them to identify the inventoried items, track the items when delivered or picked-up by updating the inventory, and authorize post to verify inventory quantities unannounced.

Embassy Male has been seeking this service since the last service gave notice they were no longer going to stay in this business. An exhaustive search finally turned up this source that would store, inventory, and deliveiy/pick-up and had a temp controlled space and security.

A demonstration that the proposed contractor’s unique qualifications or the nature of the acquisition requires use of the authority cited (for sole source acquisitions; also required for unusual and compelling urgency where more than one offer will not be solicited). This is the only vendor that has been found in Male that is providing this service and facilities.

A description of efforts made to ensure that offers are solicited from as many potential sources as is practicable. Post looked online, and queried other businesses/sources for leads and only this provider has turned up.

Embassy Colombo competes all procurements over micro purchase threshold. Any procurement over $15K will be advertised on Embassy website to give equal opportunity all interested parties. However, this current
procurement was unable to follow this procedure due to unavailability of other sources.
