THIS MARKET RESEARCH IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF INTEREST, CAPABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS OF INTERESTED VENDORS AND WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SHAPE THE ACQUISITION STRATEGY IN DEVELOPING A COMPETITIVE REQUIREMENT.
The United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Region 5 intends to issue a solicitation for a multi-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for reforestation services in support of timber stand improvement related to forest health on Forest Service land. The Forest Service may award contracts to multiple entities based on location and capability. Each contract is anticipated to be for a five (5) year ordering period. Services will be provided in National Forests located in Forest Service Region 5 (California) broken out into three (3) service areas as follows:
Northern California Service Area: Six Rivers, Mendocino, Shasta-Trinity, Klamath, Modoc, and Lassen National Forests.
Central California Service Area: Plumas, Tahoe, Eldorado, Lake Tahoe Basin, Stanislaus, and Inyo National Forests.
Southern California Service Area: Los Padres, Sierra, Sequoia, Angeles, San Bernardino, and Cleveland National Forests.
The DRAFT Scope of Work (SOW) is attached to allow for industry feedback, comments, and questions. The purpose of this notice is to solicit informal expressions of interest and comments on the DRAFT SOW from potential contractors and other persons interested in the services who could help the USFS in finalizing the solicitation requirements. Information gathered will be considered and may or may not be incorporated into final solicitation to be posted later.
The contractor(s) personnel must have necessary expertise, qualifications, and experience to assure performance of the work in accordance with sound, safe, and efficient management practices. Sources are being sought for entities with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 115310 – Support Activities for Forestry with a Small Business Size Standard of $11.5M.
