    Description

    The Office of Information Technology of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (the Museum) provides critical support to the Museum's mission by managing and supporting the technology environments including the audio-visual operations (AV) of the Museum. The AV operations include managing of the Museum's digital technologies, as well as supporting all Museum programs and events. Based on the Museum's current volume of work, USHMM has determined that additional personnel are needed to distribute the workload and is seeking an individual with audio-visual expertise and a proven track record of customer service to work in a full time role with USHMM's audio-visual team. Statement of Objectives This statement of objectives describes the operational objectives for the candidate as well as their duties and responsibilities. In general, the candidate will provide expert level experience for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment in addition to supporting the Museum's events. The Museum operates every day of the year except Yom Kippur and Christmas day. The Museum is located at: 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place SW, Washington, DC 20024. The technician's schedule will include four weekdays and one weekend day. Additionally, the technician will be expected to work on certain evenings and weekends to support Museum special events. The after hours and weekend work will be scheduled well ahead of time and the Museum will provide advance notification to the technician to ensure his/her availability. Although the technician is not expected to be "on call", occasionally he/she may be called in to provide assistance for any urgent or emergency issues or problems. Occasional travel to offsite and out of town locations may be required. AV Technician's Qualifications AV technicians shall have the following minimum qualifications: 3-5 years of experience with audio visual systems integration or service. Candidates should be driven, methodical, focused, have strong troubleshooting skills and possess the ability to self-manage and work independently without close supervision. CTS certification or equivalent work experience. Ability to act as technical lead for special events. Experience operating video switcher (SDI, NDI). Experience mixing live sound with digital mixing consoles. Experience supporting hybrid video conference meetings. Ability to read and follow AV system flow diagrams and support documentation. Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills. Multi-tasking & ability to meet project deadlines. Live event experience is a plus. Experience configuring/troubleshooting audio DSP's (Biamp/ QSC/Clearone) a plus. Dante and AVOIP experience a plus. The Statement of Work and Instructions to Offerors is attached. Offerors may submit Cost Proposals for the base and option years as a cover letter to the resume submissions.
