    This Request for Information (RFI) is in support of market research being conducted by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) to identify sources for the potential for business participation, the capabilities of large and small business entities, and standard industry practices in the preparation of soliciting an anticipated Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract. The purpose of this posting is to provide the DRAFT Statement of Work (SOW) for industry review/comment for the upcoming solicitation to procure machining services for the fabrication of nickel aluminum bronze (NAB) canisters for the Virginia-Class propulsor manufacturing program. The Government anticipates making a future acquisition determination based on responses received from both small and large businesses that indicate an interest and have the capability to perform the required effort. All responses will be reviewed and the information will be utilized to assist the Government in making a determination regarding the utilization of a Small Business/Socioeconomic Set-Aside conducted per the regulatory requirements - FAR Part 19 – Small Business Programs, in addition to the other procurement strategy decisions. It is anticipated that the requirement will be assigned and solicited under North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code 332 – “Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing” / 332721 “Precision Turned Product Manufacturing”. The Government intends on soliciting a five year, single award Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract. Responses to this RFI shall be submitted electronically to jordan.s.good.civ@us.navy.mil and abeer.j.ameer.civ@us.navy.mil by 5:00 PM Easter Standard Time on 6 February 2026 and contain the following information: Company name, website, and physical address Point of contact, phone number, and e-mail address Cage number (if applicable) and DUNS number Company size e.g. small business, large business, or small disadvantaged business Company capability Statement / Description of your technical capabilities and experience in potentially meeting the requirements identified in the Statement of Work Any comments on proposed delivery schedule and/or potential barriers to proposing on this effort Drawings are attached to this announcement for firms with an approved and valid DD Form 2345 as identified on Joint Certification Program (firm must be approved on https://public.logisticsinformationservice.dla.mil/jcp/search.aspx). No response will be provided to questions/comments submitted and responde nts will not be notified of the results. All responses will be reviewed by the Government for consideration when revisions are incorporated in the SOW prior to solicitation of the formal RFP. All information will be kept confidential and will not be disseminated to the public. This Sources Sought Notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, the Sources Sought may not result in a request for proposal in the future, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI. NOTE: The Government believes the items described in this notice meet the definition of a “Commercial Item” as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation. We invite interested parties to provide feedback and confirm this determination. Respondents are requested to provide the following information: A statement confirming whether your company agrees that the items are commercial products. If you agree, please provide supporting documentation. This may include, but is not limited to: Published catalogs or price lists Links to company’s website where the items are offered for sale. A history of sales to non-governmental entities. If you do not agree, please provide a detailed explanation of why the items do not meet the Federal Acquisition Regulations definition of a commercial item.
