VENUE FOR FOURTH OF JULY RECEPTION EVENT

1). Sole-source award for approximately $29,401.52 to the Barcelo Nasandhura Male Hotel, Male, Maldives

2). A catered venue in the city of Male, large enough to accommodate approximately 300 guests, with availability on August 13, 2025. The venue must also meet Diplomatic Security requirements and agree to payment only upon completion of service, as per USG contracting regulations. Further, funding for this event was only confirmed on July 31, 2025, so the Embassy was limited in its ability negotiate with potential vendors until now.

3). 41 USC 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, only one available source. 41 USC 253(c) (2) - Unusual and compelling urgency.

4). The Barcelo Nasandhura Malé Hotel is the only hotel with a space large enough to accommodate the event within greater Male' City. Further, the hotel is available on the required date.

5). U.S. Embassy Male is familiar with the local market. As mentioned in #4, this hotel is the only one large enough to accommodate the event.

6). The cost is fair and reasonable, both for the food and event hall rental. The Maldives is a relatively small market where nearly all food ingredients must be imported; hotel and catered events can be extremely expensive.
