PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT
The purpose of this amendment is to remove the small business set-aside restriction from the solicitation. The initial posting yielded only a single quotation, which the Contracting Officer determined to be unfair and unreasonable. As amended, this requirement is no longer restricted to small business concerns and is hereby issued on a full and open competitive basis.

Instructions to Offerors:
Offerors shall acknowledge receipt of this amendment by signing and returning a completed copy of Standard Form (SF) 30, Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract. Failure to return a signed copy of the SF30 with your offer may result in the offer being considered non-responsive.

The due date for receipt of offers is hereby extended to September 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST.

All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged.



The National Weather Service (NWS), through the Department of Commerce (DOC), is seeking quotations from qualified small businesses to repair and recondition eight (8) Elevation Rotary Joints (ASN: R400-2A1A5, NSN: 5985-01-362-0598) to “Like New” condition in accordance with the statement of work. This requirement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 811210.

READ CAREFULLY: Offers that do not address Instructions to Offerors may be deemed non-compliant and no further consideration for award will be made.

DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division requires that all contractors doing business with this office beregistered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM. Contractors active in SAM have a unique entity identifier (UEI) that is used to do business with the federal government. The Government hasmoved to a free new, non proprietary identifier that will have to be requested in, and assigned by, the System for Award Management (SAM.gov).
