    Description

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District will be issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for maintenance dredging of the Federal Navigation Project (FNP) at Westport Harbor located in Westport, Massachusetts. This solicitation will be set aside for small business interests. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990 with a size standard of $37M. The estimated construction cost is expected to range from $1,000,000 - $5,000,000.The project consists of maintenance dredging by mechanical means to remove approximately 65,000 – 75,000 cubic yards (cy) of clean sand from several areas in the authorized, 9 foot deep by 150 to 200 feet wide, outer entrance channel feature of the FNP. Dredging in the channel will be to a maximum elevation of -10’ Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW). The dredged material will be hauled approximately 2 nautical miles from the dredging areas and placed at a Westport Harbor Nearshore Placement Site off Horseneck Beach. The dredging and dredged material placement work is expected to take 3 - 4 months to complete. The available work window for the dredging and placement of dredged material is from 15 September 2024 to 15 January 2025.
