NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE THIS IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Fort Worth District Intends to award on a sole source basis, a contract to Doble Engineering Company, Morrisville, North Carolina (Cage Code 94856), for the lease of and service for specialized hydro power testing equipment unique to Doble Engineering Company.  The Doble Engineering equipment lease agreement is for the M4100 Insulation Analyzer, Doble Test Assistant software to support the analyzer, and manage data, Doble Universal Controller, and the M4300 Transport. The equipment is utilized for insulation integrity measurements. NAICS Code: 334515 Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals PSC: H261 Equipment and Materials Testing-Electric Wire and Power Distribution Equipment Size Standard: 750 Employees All responsible sources may submit a response, which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. It is a market research tool being used to determine the availability of other qualified sources that can meet the requirements identified above. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice of intent. All responses received within 15 days of the posting of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Please note this notice requires offerors to enter a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) score in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS). The NIST score is required before award.
