The current lease is expiring December 31, 2032. Occupancy, the space is required on or before February 1, 2027. Lease term will be 20 years; 5 -year firm fixed price with additional 15-year soft terms. The Department of Veterans Affairs is interested in considering alternative space if economically advantageous; otherwise, the department of Veteran Affairs intends to pursue a sole source lease acquisition with the current Lessor located at 221 Memorial Drive, Jacksonville, NC 28546. The Department of Veterans Affairs will consider the cost of moving, tenant improvements, etc., when deciding whether the Jacksonville Vet Center should relocate.
