    INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20 anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price Construction Contract to Project Number 663A4-24-201 Refurbish Elevators Bldg 61 AMLK Cars 1, 2, and 3, VA Puget Sound Health Care System, American Lake, 9600 Veterans Drive Southwest, Tacoma, WA 98439. DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor and materials for the modernization of three (3) elevators and their associated machine rooms at Bldg 61.The Government needs the newly modernized elevators to operate smoothly and to be safe, reliable, comfortable to staff and patients, and consistent with a seamless homogeneous Automated Transport System that is conducive to wheelchair and semi-ambulatory patient s vertical mobility. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS Code is 238290 with a size standard of $22 Million. The solicitation is expected to be issued in January 2026. The period of performance is approximately 435-Calendar Days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
