NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract with Merrill Fence Company to replace the perimeter fence for Building 40, located in Ft. Defiance, AZ, for BIA, Navajo Region, Branch of Facility Management Office, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). No solicitation is available and no technical questions will be answered for this requirement. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238910. If a firm believes that the BIA should not pursue this procurement, it should submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement by 5:00 p.m. MST, January 21, 2026.
