    Description

    The VA Tennessee Valley Health Care System (TVHS) at Alvin C York VA Medical Center, 3400 Lebanon Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129-1237 has a requirement to Project 626A4-23-203 Upgrade Fire Alarm System. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary to accomplish the work for Project Number 626A4-23-203 "Upgrade Fire Alarm System at the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VA Medical Center, 3400 Lebanon Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 in accordance with the specifications and drawings. Work includes demolition and new construction, including, but not limited to general construction, civil, architectural, electrical, low voltage, industrial hygiene, and certain other items. All work including materials will be warranted for a period of one year unless otherwise indicated in the specifications. Normal working hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Contractor will be required to work some nights and or weekends to perform this work and maintain functionality of affected areas, and to minimize disruptions to the Medical Centers operations. Weekend and evening work shall be identified on the project schedule submitted by the contractor and approved by the VA before work begins. See specifications for additional requirements. Period of Performance: 550 calendar days PRODUCT/SERVICE CODE: Z1DA Maintenance of Hospitals and Infirmaries This will be a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C. section 8127(d). NAICS Code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard is $45M. The estimated range of construction is Between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00 This requirement will be procured per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 Contracting by Negotiations The solicitation is expected to be posted on or around November 6, 2024. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C §8127 (d). Only those SDVOSB s listed and viewable in the VetCert database located at https://veterans.certify.sba.gov/. The database will be checked at the time of offer submission as well as prior to award. All offers must also have an active listing in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://sam.gov/. The awarded contractor must also submit evidence of enrollment with VETS4212. In addition to the requirements as set forth in the solicitation notice (to be issued), the proposed contractor must also be determined responsible in accordance with FAR Part 9. The Contracting Officer will determine responsibility prior to any award being made.
