The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS), intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with the procedures set forth in Part 14 and 36 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO23) intends to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for completion of construction Project: Upgrade Cath Lab, at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota. An IFB is planned to be issued on or about May 7, 2025, with an award date within 90 calendar days from bid opening date. Further details of all dates, events, and locations, including site visit and bid due date, will be available in the solicitation. The Contractor for this project shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to R Upgrade Cath Lab. This project his project will upgrade and reconfigure cardiac Cath Lab #4 to provide site prep for new medical equipment. Background: The new Cath Lab #4 X-Ray equipment will replace the existing equipment that is reaching end-of-life. The existing Cath Lab #4 space shall be prepared for the removal of the existing x-ray system and the installation of a new x-ray system. Specific tasks related to the removal of the existing x-ray system and installation of the new x-ray system will be performed by the x-ray system vendor. Therefore, close coordination of Contractors for the duration of this project is required. The adjacent Cath Lab, Cath Lab #3, will remain operational during this project Work includes general construction, prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work as required by drawings and specifications. The period of performance for this work is two hundred and forty (240) calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP).
