NOTICE INVITING BIDS for 14th Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation: From Relation Street to El Paso Boulevard NIB #ST2501 The City of Safford (City), Arizona hereby invites the submission of sealed Bids from properly licensed contractors for the Project 14th Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation: From Relation Street to El Paso Boulevard located within the city limits of Safford. The Project includes all materials and labor to mill and overlay 14,980 square yards of asphaltic pavement on 14th Avenue. Existing pavement thickness of 14th Avenue is approximately 4” and will require mill and replacement of the top 2” of pavement. Existing valves, manholes and survey monuments in the paving area must be adjusted to final grade. Following mill and overlay application, the street must be striped. The Work is expected to be substantially complete in 30 days, and ready for final payment in 45 days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated date of Council approval of the Contract is April 28, 2025, and the City wishes for the awarded Contractor to begin work that same week or shortly thereafter. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference with Site visit will be held at 10:00 AM local time, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the MYOC Conference Room, 405 W Discovery Park Boulevard, Safford, AZ 85546. Bidding Documents, including plans, are available in digital format by written request to Andi, alindsey@saffordaz.gov. Bidders shall seal and deliver their Bids by 2:00 PM local time, Thursday, April 3, 2025 to the City Clerk’s office at 717 W. Main Street, Safford, AZ 85546, where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. All Bids must include a bid bond for 10% of the Total Bid amount, and all Bids must be plainly marked on the outermost packaging with “Attention: Sealed Bid - #ST2501,” and must indicate the company name and address of the Bidder and Bid closing date and time. Any Bids received after 2:00 PM local time on the above stated date will be returned unopened. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, or to withhold the award for any reason the City determines. The City also reserves its right to hold any or all Bids for sixty (60) days after the Bid opening date and will not allow withdrawal of Bids during those sixty (60) days.
