Project plans and specifications also may be viewed on-line and downloaded by going to the Pomona Unified School District’s website http://www.pusd.org/go/purchasing. Scope: The scope of work consists of but is not limited to the following: The project consists of a grind and overlay asphalt resurfacing project and/or Clean-up. This work will be performed at the following sites: Alcott Elementary School, Garey High School, Ganesha High School, and Harrison Elementary School. Contractor to include the cost of 1000 SQFT of complete removal and reconstruction (3-inch AC over 6-inch AB) in various sites where the pavement has failed per district direction. Restore asphalt full integrity, repair or replace damaged site elements to match pre-damage conditions. ensure all work complies with applicable codes and safety standards and complete site cleanup Conduct a pre-construction site walk with the District's Project Manager representative to verify existing conditions, mark utilities, and identify any conflicts site features. Repair potholes, depressions, or failed sections by excavating to stable subbase, compacting aggregate base 95% relative compaction, and patching with hot-mix asphalt to match existing grades. Protect adjacent surfaces curbs, gutters, landscaping) with barriers or sheeting. Implement erosion control and stormwater pollution prevention measures per SWPP Adjust manholes, valve boxes, and utility covers to match new grade prior to overlay. Ensure smooth transitions at edges, joints, and tie-ins to existing pavements Perform rolling with steel-wheeled and pneumatic-tired rollers in sequence to avoid segregation Restore pavement markings and striping per Caltrans Section 84 and Pomona USD standards. Provide mix designs and material submittals for District approval 14 days prior to work. Implement a Traffic Control Plan if applicable, including signage, flaggers, and barriers to maintain safe access for school buses, staff, and emergencies.
